I have tried hosting with several companies, MidPhase, WebSiteSource, and Dreamhost.
And hands down Dreamhost has been the best.
Midphase was just nasty on the phone when I called for support. WebSiteSource was always down. And for phone support there was a 1 hour wait.
Dreamhost has great support, I hardly every have a problem with the site being down. And they are honest when telling you why it was down. They also offer OSCommerce as part of their most basic plan. They also offer a bunch of features. It is well worth the money.
I believe you also have a 3 month trial period.
I also used a great promo code that gives you 2 months free. The code is DREAMCLOUD. And you get the first 2 months free.
Hope this helps you make a decision.

I agree with MoniqueB.
Dreamhost service is good.
My website is in their servers and I have not had any problem.
BTW, you can get better promotion codes than that one with 2 free months.

I needed an alternative to Mac's iDisk - Dreamhost gives you 20GB space, full webdav or AFP mounting support and much faster.
On top of that it's complete linux shared hosting environment with great admin tools, like a wordpress blog in 10 mins, subversion support for versioned projects, multiple mysql databases, Jabber, streaming quicktime, and a nice voting system for choosing new future features.
Support has been great, especially when things (during my first couple of days setup) don't go quite right.
Like MoniqueB, I used a voucher code to get a discount. The best I've found is Y50UK giving you $50 off of any of the plans.
BTW, I live in the UK, and switched from a fast UK service (positive-internet) to a west-coast US based one because of the great value and feature set.

Yes they still give discount. If you want the maximum discount (97$), you can write this code: FULLINDIRIM
This code will not expired and can be used from unlimited people..
