I have been searching for a plan that suites me for about a month now, i mainly only wanted a host so that i could learn more about web design / PHP & mySQL since i love mucking around with it on my own computer with XAMPP installed. And to chuck on a nice little community site for my Guild mates in World of Warcraft.
I looked around on these forums today for a few hours and have just decided i might aswell just dive in and grab one. I have to say i am very impressed! I had a few mates that hosted sites a few years back and i was so confused at everything they where doing on there with PHPMyAdmin, that i really didn't want to get into any of it yet due to inexperience on my part.
The way people on these forums talk about this host is great, that is mainly why i chose to go with akashik.net, Greg, you have done a great job and i am looking forward to staying with you for a while!
Just a big thanks to all the effort you have put into it! I don't fully understand how hard it is to set a host up, but even with XAMPP (a completely user friendly Apache installation for windows, with everything you need to get started and pretty much no tricky stuff to install) it can be hard to get things working correctly.
I applaud your effort and hope to be talking to you in the future!
