What is the cheapest you can pay for .Com domains these days? I get them for $7.20/year is there lower than that, do they come with restrictions?
If I resell, how much can I get them for?

People planning on buying one domain would be very smart to find a host that offers a free domain with the purchase of a hosting package. If you're purchasing lots of domains, then yes $7.20 is an awesome price.

$7.20 is a very good price for a dot com domain name.

If you resell the domains with your hosting you can probable charge around $10 dollars for it. If you charge any more then that then your clients will probable just go off and find a domain some where else.

Theoretically the lowest price you can pay for a .com domain should not be under around $6.50. The reason is that Verisign (i.e. the .com Registry) and ICANN are charging accredited Registrars such as my company (here a full list of all accredited Registrars around the world http://www.internic.net/regist.html) about $6.35 to $6.50. As a consequence a honest Registrar cannot sell it for less than $6.50 and that's without including administrative charges and credit card processing fees.
If you find something under around $6.50, there is a catch, in general the Registrar is not a "pure player" and is selling the domain name with a web hosting package or other services (even if not mandatory) so they disguise the price you are actually paying and they charge you a little bit more for another services such as web hosting ( I would call it price "shift", they move a portion of the domain name price to the web hosting or other service they try to sell you). You can also sometimes find Registrars selling for less when they try to dump the competition. Pay also attention to the renewal fees, it's no use to buy a domain for half the price if the next year you have to pay 3 times the market price to renew it...

Yahoo's reputation as a registrar isn't quite good,

I agree with the posts above: it's even dangerous to pay less than 6.50$ for a domain name, you never know where you'll lose

The cheapest you get it for is $6.49 as ICANN fee is $6.35+$0.10 is for Verisign fee, so its $6.45 and 0.04$ is the control panel charges.

We offer for this price with no hidden feature with it.

You can have the domain name for cheaper if you go with an hosting package, and sometimes free. Have an analysis on which would be the better that whether free of domain with hosting package or paying for the domain name.
