What do you guys think about this plan:
http://www.cihost.com/?zone=resellers/dedicated_private_label_partner

I've been comparing that plan with lots of others out there, and it came up as one of the best ones to take (again, doesn't give too many details on customer support, and I've had some pretty bad experiences with cihost before).
The closest I could find for that much bandwidth, and with all the features is http://www.virtualis.com/vr/virtuali/hosting_freebsd.html, but the price is just too high for me.

I'm thinking of going into this reselling business, but heck, I don't know anything much about it. I could be able to have 10-15 initial sign-ups for hosting from the current contacts/friends/customers, but I don't know would it pay off, what do I have to invest in that, how do I accept their payments, merchant account or not, etc?

fantom,
Make sure you take your time and do some resaerch on this.
Tons of companies now offer reseller plans.
You will find all different kinds of options, at different hosting companies. Most all have a resell package that you purchase, and then you are able to add accounts, per your discounted fee.
CI host has had tooo many negative things about them..so I would never recommend them!
Im not familiar with virtualis, although Ive heard of them.
Reselling is good experience, and you can gain alot of knowledge about the business, in general.
I started this way a few years back. I was a reseller for a few hosts, some were terrible, but then I finally got with a good host that supported me, and then went on to get my own servers.
Im working on launching a resell program for designers.
You might want to check

Be sure, whomever you choose, drop some emails and inquire.
Check them out every way possible!
Good Luck!

Martie, thanks a lot for the advice...
your site is a great source of information, something I've been looking for!

Now I'm off to reading the articles on your site, and the reviews of all those companies you have listed there... good stuff.

Thanks again.
