Please visit http://www.1websiteshostingpromotions.com/domain.php and let me know do you want something like that? I have developed this script for my self. It is very easy to customise also.

Read here (http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum48/2598.htm) about getting a domain search box for your site.

Any whois site that allows referrals will work such as http://www.hq42.net/net_tools/whois.php. Simply create a form script that redirects to that site or use your form to post direct to their site as if you were using their form (copy their form). The best way is to use an API from a registrar such as enom or Directi so you can not only have the simple "The Domain Is Available!" page but also a way to instantly buy the domain on the spot. Godaddy might even have an API, I know Alus.net does but I highly do NOT recommend them and 1&1 isn't to much better off.

If you are going to sell domain names you shouldn't worry about that. If you were domain reseller you would get this script from your provider.
