I run a website which does about 300GB transfer a month. The load on the server isn't that great and FreeBSD would be good.
I am basically paying $669 at the moment with RackSpace but I need a cheaper option at around the $250 mark.

seem to what I'm looking for but whats the catch. It seems to good to be true. Is there any other service like this out there?
Thanks

thecoolh recommends RackShack.net
Your other posts speak of your dismay with that company. For example:
http://forums.webhostdir.com/showthread.php?threadid=2500
Add to that the postings of other users concerning RackShack.net and I'd say they are one to avoid.
Friends, read for yourself: search these forums for "rackshack".

yes, i used to recommend rackshack before 5 of my friend's boxes went to hell on there... i mean... if it were just 1 friend, its a freak accident... 2... bad luck... 5!?!?!?! out of like 5 that i know of... ???? come on dude... and if it isn't their server thats messed, its poor configuration by rackshack tech or complete stupidity of their support on simple questions...

Cool. I was just concerned that THIS particular thread was left "open" .... with your recommendation being one of the last entries!
That's not the case any longer! :D

lol... 5 years, eh? u guys at http://www.quickwebsolutions.com/ must be some real dumbasses then... LOL... look on the main page... "OC-48, 144 times faster than a T-1"
either u guys have some really slow OC48s or some really fast T1s...
cuz from my definition of an OC48 = 2480Mbps ... T1 = 1.544Mbps ... 144 times?
