I recently gave up my Alabanza server and switched to a reseller plan with another Alabanza host. However, since I no longer have automatic billing capabilities I need to look into other options and I need to do something fast.

I am considering ModernBill and DreamCost and would like to get feedback from actual users of these two products.

From what I've seen in the demos for both products, reading all the posts in here and at several other forums, and other research I've done, the ModernBill has much better navigation. It also seems to do a better job at reporting activity and making it easier to find orders.

Dreamcost though has a built-in Affiliate/Reseller tracking, something I am interested in using.

If you use either of these products I would like to hear the following from you:

1) Which one are you using and how long have you been using it?

2) What do you like about the product?

3) What do you dislike about the product?

4) How difficult was it to implement and customize?

5) Have you received good support from the company?

6) Are there any features you are not using?

If anyone is using a different automatic billing system. I would like to hear about it. However I am not interested in any high-priced solutions. I want something for less than $100 US (preferably much less).

Also if you know of any specific features or problems with either of these that deserve special mention, please let me know.

You can post replies here or can send me a private reply or email.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Chuck,

There have been a couple of references to these two allready. They contain some user experiences and comments:

Tommy, thanks.

I had already read those threads. However, they really didn't answer my questions, especially related to actual user experiences with the software and the companies.

Hopefully some actual users of the software will respond.

We've been testing out modernbill for a while now and it's been a fairly pleasent experience. Solid software, easy to install, works well.

Looked at Dreamcost, but found it confusing, and expensive to upgrade (from their website).

More than anything support was the selling point. Modernbill were forward to quick to reply. Dreamcost were avoiding issues, and slow to respond.
