.WS domain names is for WebSite or Western Samoa?

I think they intended it to mean World Site, in an attempt to topple .com from the top slot. But then someone pointed out that Western Samoa also had that extension :)

According to what I read about ccTLDs, .WS is the country code for Western Samoa, and the "Web Site" bit was the registrar's way of promoting it.

Kind of like how this fabled island of Tuvalu (I swear I've never ever heard of it before until this) and their .TV ccTLD works.

P.S. I'm thinking of getting a .FM name, but it's $200 for a fixed 2-year deal. Bleah :shake:
