Hi all,

By this time you all must have heard that the .US registartions are racing towards a million. In this context how profitable is it to grab one of those dots ?

TIA,

If you're Coca Cola, you want to get all the dot names you can get, otherwise, I think one or two is enough.
It also depends on if it's a personl site or bizniz.

profitable? I doubt it. People jumped on that .biz bandwagon a while back and I'm still not seeing a whole lot of them in production. .com/net/org are the only ones I see as 'worth' anything beyond their initial registraion costs.

Note: It didn't escape my notice you run a domain service. Please watch your threads in future to prevent them being deleted if they stray too far into advertising.

I always said it will take a very big and well known company like Coke to make .boz, .us, .tv etc etc popular.

The vast majority of people still think in term of .com.

Agree.
"Dot com" is a part of our language now, unlike most of the new names.
