New Web Host

My company has provided internet services to our island for a year. We are now looking into becoming a Web Host in August. Most of us have very little knowledge about Web Hosting, so any information, sites, servers, or software that anyone can suggest would be great.

If you are brand new to the webhosting industry, it would probably be in your best interest to start somewhere as a reseller.
You can gain alot of information on the industry itself, plus its an advantage to you, to be able to see if this business (hosting) is for you.

We lease our servers from Alabanza. For dedicated servers,I highly recommend them. Their site is www.alabanza.com

Thank you so much for the sites and information that you have provided. However, my crazy firm decided to go all out and buy two servers. Thank you so much for all the information that you have provided already, If anyone knows any more about setting up servers, connecting it to the internet, and other services that can be provided by the servers I would greatly appreciate it. I would suggest looking into one of the control panel products: Ensim http://www.ensim.com/, Plesk http://www.plesk.com/, Sphera http://www.sphera.com/, H-sphere http://www.psoft.net/.
