Does anyone know of a reliable host w/ reseller plans, and whose servers are located outside of the US?
Any tips are appreciated

Are you looking for anything in particular? Windows Vs Linux etc etc... There's are a lot of UK people on this forum so I'm sure they'd have a better idea of something 'local' to them.

If you're looking for something in the UK give me a shout and I'll point you to a few companies.

Thanks, Akashik and Tommy.
Although I have no definite preference, may be Linux would be my first choice.
Hosting in the UK could be a partial solution, so if you could point me to some providers I would appreciate.
Ideally, though, I would prefer the host servers to be located within an "off-shore" jurisdiction (i.e. Jersey, Isle of Man, BWI, etc)
Any pointers?
Thanks
Antonio

Hi Antonio,
These guys are based in the Isle of Man and have a few years operating history behind them.

Hi Globalink, just being nosey but while do you want to host outside the US ? Is it as simple as a locally delivered locally hosted site or have you had enough of Uncle Sam Hosting Inc ?

Mr Chunder,
No, I have personally nothing against Uncle Sam Hosting Inc.
The reason is to fully comply with legal requirements of the financial industry, off-shore investments, and so forth

Antonio

Just out of interest do you think adding a location search criteria against all our hosts would be useful?
Its something we've considered in the past but never had much feedback.

I think a location search would be a great idea !!
Giving customers the idea of where their servers are located is a good idea. The thing that I get questions the most about from customers, 'especially customers new to hosting is' where are the servers located.

I have a couple of sites here. Their support is good and server speed is fast. Try www.webserver.com.my (http://www.webserver.com.my)
Good luck..

You posted the same message on it's own too, and under a different ID.
Recommending a service you aren't affiliated with is one thing. But that was clear advertising. The only "advertising" allowed is in your signature lines, and with in reason.
