This is just a heads-up to all who might be considering using Cubesoft Communications as a host: Don't!

They deleted our account of three years for no apparent reason and with no explanation. They have ignored all of emails inquiring why. They supply no contact info on their website other than an email form to which they have repeatedly refused to reply.

We mistakenly chose to go with a budget (virtual) plan and hence when we were forced to change hosts by Cubesoft suddenly deleting our account (which was paid up to date btw), our url changed, and therefore we had to resubmit our new url to everywhere we had promoted the old one. This costed us thousands of dollars in business loss and continues to be costly until we are able to publicize the new url as widely as the old one. I realize the choice of virtual hosting over a regular domain was our mistake, but wouldn't have been a mistake at all if Cubesoft had not basically dumped our company off the face of the earth.

My company, Harmony Hollow Software, is very small, yet is the sole source of income for my family. I am a stroke patient and am self taught in programming. I was forced out of my regular job by the illness. I am not trying to get anyone's sympathy but just trying to show how such an indiscriminate move by an uncaring company like Cubesoft can really hit someone hard. We're not all Fortune500 companys who can simply absorb this kind of thing without feeling it. I felt it hard.

Hi Kyle,
Welcome to the forums.
I have never heard of the company, and I couldnt find them listed in the directory under that name. I would certainly think after 3 years as a client they would give you some sort of explanation!
Sounds like you must be setup with a new host... please keep us updated.

Thanks Martie,
Yes, i'm using addr.com now. (with my own domain!;) ) Everything seems to be going smoothly with them.

I did a Google search for "Cubesoft" after that happened to try and locate some more contact info only to find the first page of search results to be urls of articles and forum posts relating identical experiences with the company and recommending avoidance of it. Wish I'd seen those about 3 yrs ago. O well...hind site....etc.

Been there done that Greg, neither of the numbers in the whois record are for the company....might have been once but I tried them both...one was a wrong number...the other had been disconnected.

Why is it that some companies do stupid things?

was just taking a wander around their site - seems their 'friends and affiliates' include links to hacker sites, free term papers and video game emulators.

Maybe it's just me but that seems a little shady :) Bset of luck with the addr account. I had a site there for 3 days quite a while ago... was not very happy with them
