Rallying cry!

The Ethics Committee is developing really quickly and it's very exciting to see so much interest allready. I'm looking forward to the coming months and working with everyone on promoting good hosting practices throughout the internet. I'll look back on this post in a years time and we'll be able to see where we came from and we have acheived.

Yes, there was a change in the rules on WHT, and corporate logos were outlawed-or at least the logo the company that you work for/own.

i don't work for Pontiac, so I decided to use their Firebird (another name for the mythical Phoenix) logo instead...

That's another thing our incipient organization/ministry will need is a logo.

Ok, I made it here. It will take a while to be able to look around and read everything I have missed. One thing I did want to mention is that before any desicions are made, will we have a group conscience on it? Meaning, will there be a vote by all the current members before something goes into effect? That should be the very first theing set. This way, I come on tonight and I don't make it back until tomorrow night and you have made new policy or guidelines.
Also, who can read these posts? Anyone or just members?
I am glad to be part, but I want us to all slow right down so we don't screw up.

Billy, by all means, clothe yourself decently with an avatar :)

Our forum is only visible to those of us who have volunteered for this undertaking, our discussions are private.

Our purpose right now is the generation of ideas. Ideas which will become policies. There are still a couple of members of the committee who haven't migrated here yet. We probably should recruit a few more like-minded hosts for the planning committee. We should have as many different types of hosts represented here to give as many different viewpoints as possible. Once we all get our profiles posted, we can see who we all are and what we need to look for in additional committee members.

Everything will need to be voted upon, and if there are differences of opinions, discussed until we can reach a consensus.

We few minds here are only a tiny beginning, but if we do this right, one day we will be part of a legion of hosts.

ah'm back from gawga, I say, yee haw! Spent the past week on a mountain in the woods, where the official vehicle is a pickup truck with a confederate flag front license plate, and everyone's name is bubba, and you can't live there unless you've got at least two smelly hound dogs...good food, though-best pecan pie I ever had.
