Please tell me which ecommerce programs or templates you liked and did not like and the reason why.

My partner and I are starting a small business and until we start making profit we need a cheep, preferrably free, program or template to use on our website so customers can order.

Thank you

I think you might choose some open source project scripts to build your new e-commerce sites. I think zen-cart would be a nice choice. It is really flexible with the template system and even better there are many free templates could be chosen, too. :)

Have a nice day,

Hi,

Joomla and oscommerce are freeware and best ecommerce applications. If you have good coder who knows how to feet your needs then it is very is and friendly.

Ecommerce websites always requires SSL certificate for online payment security. Use wildcard SSL (http://www.clickssl.com/rapidssl/rapidsslwildcard.aspx) certificate to secure unlimited sub domains.

It is so nice, and makes use of different technologies such as html, css, dom script and others, in fact it makes it easier to use all these technologies.

Hi,

I would suggest Magento because it is the ultimate eCommerce shopping cart. It's easy to use modular architecture offers unprecedented flexibility and control over online store operations.

The most important factor I like about Magento is it is SEO friendly. SEO friendly coding help your custom Magento website to gain high rankings in Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, etc.

If you are looking for an eCommerce first you must decide which platform you would like.

There are

* OScommerce
* CreLoaded
* Zen Cart.

All StoreSprite to build and maintain a successful, has the features needed to manage online store. Screenplay complicated way design and a high rate so that you store that your client can manage with little or no training can deliver is excluded from. storesprite a freeware license which means you download it, it can install and use is released under free. The only condition is that you leave in place our copyright notice or pay a small fee to remove them from its inception. storesprite features that expensive commercial products on the market - put on a par with fee includes a whole raft of course does not mean basic!

You have to choose the open source project templates for the ecommerce websites. You can search on the Internet for the templates and you can get so many templates for the sites. Ecommerce Templates are the templates that you must use to create an online store.

The best open source program I've experienced and hear loads about is Joomla. It's a really versatile tool and you can use cascading style sheets and html on it. I know quite a few web developers who swear by it.
