Hello-

I currently have about 35 websites being resold with netnation.com. While I think that they have great support, they also are holding me back from growing due to lack of flexibility and lack of options for reselling. They are also a little pricey for what they give. They also do not allow me to have my own nameservers and they do not help me brand anything to my own company.

I am looking for a company that will give me unlimited domains to resell for one monthly price as well as live 24/7 tech support if something goes wrong. My own nameservers would be nice. And I need a browser based panel to manage my account. I would like a company who will be flexible and help me grow. I have mainly small business clients now and a decent stable of personal websites, but I have had to turn down clients recently due to Netnation's limitations.

Can anyone recommend any solid companies that will be around for a while. It will take me some hours to switch over and i do not want to go with a company who may be gone soon.

Any thoughts?

Max

How much bandwidth and webspace do you need? Also, what servers and features are you looking for? (Linux, Windows, ASP, PHP, mySQL....etc)

I think most reseller hosts will give you a control panel to manage all aspects of yoru domain(s) (Email, databases, web users, web stats...ect)

I think right now I need about 600-700 megs of discspace. I am not sure about the bandwith, but most of my sites are small and do not have a tremendous amount of traffic.

I would like Linux or Unix based webhosting and I am looking for mysql and php. I do need some kind of shopping card feature as well.

Thanks,

Max

I've been looking around, too, so I'll give you a list of hosts that I'm looking at -- listed in no particular order:

- VenturesOnline (http://www.venturesonline.com/hosting/resellers.html)
- AlphaOmegaHosting (http://www.alphaomegahosting.com/reseller.html)
- Reseller Space (http://www.resellerspace.net/)
- Voxtreme (http://www.voxtreme.com/)
- Splash Host (http://www.splashhost.com/reselling.htm)
- HTTPme.COMmunity (http://www.httpme.com/)

So, there's a half dozen. For each I've read good reviews on speed, service, support, etc. Each also seems to have a good reputation - at least I haven't found much negative said about any of them. I don't know what criteria you'll be using to make a selection but this should give you something to research and think about.

Good luck,

A good list from justme. Regarding the shopping cart, you should take a look at oscommerce www.oscommerce.com as its free, reliable and should run on most hosts that offer PHP/ mySQL.

That aside, there are many hosts that fit your criteria.

It sounds like you are a pretty good fit for cari.net. I have about 30 sites with them and they have good support and branding options. So good that I could resell their services to you, but that would be crass.

www.spiralhost.com

Some of the best plans on the net. I currently have their old plan which is no longer available due to increased costs (an amazing deal, it was 100 GB of transfer, 100 domains, 5 GB of space for only $39 a month)

Their best plan now is 80 GB , unlimited domains, 5GB of space and $49 a month.

There are a few request for resellers. And some of the offers sound like what you might be looking for.

It's a good resource as well.

I had considered:

venturesonline.com
eishost.com
turbodns.com

and the one I finally went with (which has great support so far)...
ehostpros.com

If you are looking for a specific plan. It also useful to mention if you are looking for a specific controller like Cpanel or Hpsere etc.

That way we can further elimanate companies that might not suit your needs.

Are you looking for a reseller plan that enables you to resell both Linux and Windows Hosting Plans? If yes, look out for H-Sphere reseller plans.

IMHIP plan from AIT -- a few plan options plus you can raise your domain limit without having to upgrade to a more expensive plan. Upgrades are $30 for 10 additional domains.
