Hello all.

My question is for all the entrepreneurs out there.

I would like to know how far has all the people providing web design, hosting, reseller services, graphic art out there taken their businesses.

I would like to know if anyone has formed a corporation to protect themselves and their assests?

If so what type of entity have they choosen and what type of business do you provide?
example c corporation, s corporation, llc, sole prop.?

Thanks all.

Incorporating won't necessarily protect you from liability. There's a difference between general liability and personal/professional liability.

If you have a store front and someone comes in and gets hurt (say trips on the doorway) then being a corp will help.

OTOH, if an engineer makes a bad design and someone gets hurt that's professional liability and being a corp won't necessarily protect him or his assets. For that you need professional liability insurance and good luck getting it for a web deisgner!

(not a lawyer, not legal advise!)

Being 'service providers' their is a GREAT deal of liability involved.

Any time you provide a service for someone your putting your self and your assests at risk, if your a corporation your companys' assests at risk. And I would like to know what measures have all the 'service providers' taken, if any to protect themselves.

It doesnt seem like much to some but until it actually happens to you. Things might look a little different for you.
