Its is fine. However it is not a "Free domain name for life", but a "Free domain name for as long the customer hosts the website with us".

Know it is offered by the companies webhosting.uk.com and marblehost.com. As soon as you leave their service you need to pay for your domain yourself. However these hosts are enough reasonable to choose them for long-term relationship.

Free hosting is the most basic web hosting service. Banners ads are common on this type of website hosting (for example Geocities or Angelfire). There are a few free web site hosting providers in existence today that provide excellent options but that is the exception to the rule. Most free hosting plans do not provide users with MySQL databases, multiple e-mail accounts, or the ability to run any scripting language. The type of domain one receives in free web hosting is typically a sub-domain (yoursite.webhost.com) or a directory ..

Starting out in 1997 m6.net has experienced all the technology changes from NT 3.5 to Windows 2000 to Windows 2003. Their reputation is high and prices are low on their resourceful plans.

Free domain name forever can save your about 15% money of a hosting that costs $5 per month. Also keep it in mind that it's free only if you host with them.

I don't see any bad sides of ordering hosting accounts and getting domain names for FREE.
I have been using marblehost.com web hosting services and everything works clear.
They also offer free domain name within their hosting accounts.

I wouldn't ever trust a domain name to a web hosting company. That is why I personally don't allow domain name registrations on my own hosts.
Domains should always be separate from a host. Use a reputable registrar like NameCheap. You never know how your relationship with your host might change. Especially if they are fly-by-night, then you can kiss your domain goodbye.
And if you do find a good host and get a free domain, trying to switch would be a nightmare. They would probably charge massive fees for you to leave.

M6.net has provided a great amount of entrancing features in their plans, not only a free domain name.
SSL certificate is included in their plans too.
Prices start at $3,75 per month.

Not really an issue with most providers. They are simply providing you the domain for the time that keep your account with them. Reality is its not "free" you are most likely paying for it every month:)
