Hi,

My name is Michele and I work in the marketing department of Wells Fargo?s Internet Payment Division. I recently convinced my boss to implement a referral program created specifically for web developers. The program provides you with cash incentives to sign up prospective clients up with Wells Fargo Online Payment Processing services.

Since I am not a web developer myself, I would really like to get your feedback about what you think of our overall referral program, the cash incentives being offered, and the reward gift ($100 gift certificate from Amazon.com) for signing up and activating your first account by January 30, 2003.

If you have some time, could you visit our web site at: http://www.wellsfargosecure.com/wdp/?wdc

If you have the time, please feel free to email me your thoughts regarding the program.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Michele Zenor

I've never used wellsfargo for online payments. I've always used PayPal or Plug n Pay. Your idea of $100 is defenitely worth looking into but, to be as crude as possible, screw the gift certificates. Pay cash.

I couldn't possibly spend $1000 a year at Amazon. Or maybe I could but that's besides the point :).

Some questions I asked myself: Do we do the sale or do we provide a link to the fargo web site? How does the system work? Are the any minimums or fees involved in ebing a sales agent? Is these a method of tracking sales and referrals etc..?

Summary: Your idea is a very good one but needs refinement. Also I'd suggest some screenshots of how the system works, as well as links about the payment gateway etc... all these things are important.

Really?

I could spend more in a day - every day :))

Hello wowewo,

Could you possibly list the reasons why you currently favor PayPal or Plug N Play? The kind of service, and the level of service, that they offer are different than those of Wells Fargo. What kind of factors do you weigh in our decision?

I'll look into how we can be more informative on how the system works to potential referrers. But, overall, do you think this is a good idea? Could you see this being a successful program?

As for as your comment on "couldn't possibly spend $1000 a year at Amazon", you could save it up for a Segway? I believe Amazon sells it. :)

Thanks,

Michele

Hi

Gaining new merchants through web designers is great! My new website (http://www.netsyncro.com) does exactly that amoung other things. BTW.. Help those that are being referred to you and waive the Authorize.net setup fee.

Wells fargo should get out there and compete along with everyone else. I agrre with the previous person who said to pay in cash.

I already have the Wells Fargo Service Lsited on my Hosting Directoyr at http://www.hosting-america.net and if a referral fee is in the works, then I am certainly all for it.
