I'm thinking of incorporating Skype into my communication methods with customers - Does anyone use Skype for external communication in their business?
What does everyone think of the idea?

I've seen lately more people implementing Skype as an additional product alternative in their hosting business. I think it is a great approach and definetely worth to do it.

We use Skype throughout our 'small' international company and it is great. We have users working around the world and it helps folks to communicate. Sure there's probably some amount of abuse, but overall it's great.
We've also tested using Skype on Blackberries - kills the data plan though.
And we have some remote users using the Skype credit to allow phone calls internationally through Skype.
With a set of headphones it can make a huge difference in the phone bills too! And it's a great way to confirm that the internet is working in a remote office.

Skype is an excellent idea to incorporate into your business. You may find that a few efficient skype conversations can be more valuable than a dozen back and forth e-mails.

Skype has grown ever more popular with both individuals and businesses for its calling features. Skype works by having users download the application to their computer and then setting up their contact list. You can imagine the investment of time and dollars if we had to fly to Boston or Denver to meet these people in person to evaluate if they were great teachers
