Do you know any reliable hosting company which offers web hosting plans optimized for forums, especially phpBB?

I need about 30GB of space, 400GB bandwidth, etc. for phpBB

Do you think that m6.net will be good for running phpBB forum?

What hosting solution should I buy? What companies can you recommend me?

I think that you should contact their support, tell your needs and ask them if they can support your specific needs.

You need to contact their sales representative for more details about their services. According to your requirements you should opt VPS hosting solution. Good Luck :)

M6.NET Windows hosting has phpbb and much more support for forum. Your requirements can be satisfied with starter windows hosting plan which is going to cost you as less as $3.75 per month.

Contact sales at M6.NET for latest offers and package details

Any good shared hosting will do, as PHPBB is just another PHP / MySQL script with no special requirements. Mostly tags like 'forum hosting' are just another way to attract the customers, nothing else.

But there are also hosts that offer forum license, upgrades, installations, plugins, skins etc. which are true forum hosts. The real forum hosts I know, like URLjet etc, specialize on vBulletin, not PHPBB. VB is far more superior forum script, but not free. If you are serious about your forum, get VB license and go for URLJet is you need assisatance.

There are really many options you could find suitable.

Particularly I recommend the offers of serverpoint.com which is offering special accounts for vBulletin and other forum engines,

also santrex.net which is completely versatile company supporting everything and allowing much wider content spectre

As I can see there are many web hosts suggested here.. I believe that you need to compare rates, features, compatibility, performance and reliability - then choose the most attractive one.

I think that you should look at Resources - This is the first thing you look at in a host, if it provides the space, bandwidth and add-on domains you need in case your site becomes successful.

I think you should look for reviews on suggested hosts. As an alternative I suggest you Interactiveonline (http://interactiveonline.com/) solutions. They are providing stable web hosting plans totally compatible with any forum software, you will be satisfied with them

PhpBB is a free software, which is offered almost everywhere. Simply find the host which would meet the requirements, (think it should be a VPS), get the package and install whatever you want.

Yes you are right that is free and that is working with most of web hosting packages. In my opinion that is better to start with shared web hosting with such project rather then with VPS.

I'd recommend you to take a hosting provider that has softaculous for forum installations as its very easy to use else I would search a host and ask the support if they have support members who can help with a specific forum board when required.

In order to avoid any unwanted issues, ensure to select the right web hosting agency before you start a discussion board or forum of your own. Web hosting companies sometimes offer seasonal promotions that may surprise you. Look for the best web hosting forum service provider before you decide to set up a forum. Forum web hosting companies usually come up with numerous offers and services that will certainly meet your requirements.

All hosting providers support Forum applications like phpBB and vBulletin. Uptime and Port speed is very important if you are looking for a Forum host. You must look for a Hosting provider who offers good uptime on his hosting plans and the servers are connected to a fast port so that your website loads quickly.

You need not to approach different type of web hosting services for conducting a website as a forum oriented. You can just check for the fulfillment of the resources required to handle that website (forum) and go with the normal web hosting account on which you will have to install the forum software.

Any web hosting company can provide you hosting that is optimized for forums. Just tell them that you plan to have a forum website. They can even provide you with script for your forum since phpBB is an open source script.

I think that almost all hosting companies support PhpBB, free software. Make sure you use a reliable host with good customer service because the updates on PhpBB can sometimes create issues. Some are simple, others can get complicated.
