My alexa rating

Hmmm I am confused about alexa. My rating jumped from 800,000+ to 200,000+ in a few hours and the hits are not that different....can someone tell me why?

Alexa ranking is based upon a three month rolling average so it might have just changed.

The other reason is that if you just installed the toolbar and visited your site you might have bumped it up. Basically just a couple of visits with someone with a toolbar can drop (raise) your rating if your rating is over 100,000.

the rating changed a lot in the beginning after I installed
the tool bar, but now the pace is slow.
