Hi, I've got a problem that has really got me. I've got a page hosted on freeservers.com (www.fencingmanawatu.freeservers.com)that uses mouseover actions. These worked great until a couple of days ago when they seemed to spontaneously break! I didn't reupload the pages or anything. Also I uploaded the exact same pages to a different server and they worked fine. What I'm wondering is if it's possible for a server to do anything that could stuff up a page like this or is it somehow me?

I think I would just re-upload and see if it works.
Did you check your code?

Yup, the strange thing is it works great on any other server apart from freeservers.com. I wonder if anyone knows if it is possible for a server to somehow affect the way things like this display? What seems to be the problem is that it doesn't allow the images used to be preloaded so it downloads them each time the mouse goes over = very slow and horrible!

Does Freeservers.com put adverts at the top of teh page in JavaScript? If it does then that may be affecting your JavaScript as they could be adding it to everyone of your pages.

If there are no ads at the top then I'm stumped. JavaScript is a browser feature, not part of the server (unless you're trying to access a file or some server environment info).

Thnx people. Yeah, it does put an add banner at the top. I think you could be right - which means there's not a lot I can do about it :(

Send them an email its probably a mistake on there behave if it is causing your javascript not to work. Perhaps they have forgotten to close a javascript tag or something. Give them an emailand I'm sure they will be pleased to look into it for you.
