I would suggest you don't use a "free" control panel in a production environment, I'm sure for that price the support would be little to non-existent.

My experience,

Hosting Controller 2002 ( 1st real web hosting control panel for windows, most functionality, low price., stable company )

Helm, ( visually looks good, missing some of the functionality hosting controller offers, New software and company )

H-Spear, ( Visual in my opinion it a mess, but it has some good functionality since it can control both windows and unix )

Hello,
I don't know of any free control panels for Win2K but here is all of the control panels that I know about currently for Win2K.

Pricing ranges from $200.00 - $1000.00 and more possibly. I don't know all of the details. You can rent licenses monthly for some control panels.

Helm
Hosting Controller
Ensin & Ensim Pro
Hosting Accelerator
Command Matrix
Sphera
H-Sphere - Must have Primary Linux Server
HostFlow - Must have Primary Linux Server

You can find all of these by searching for thier names in google.com.

Hope this helps,
Chris

On a side note,
Command Matrix is nice but we couldn't get any replies for support whatsoever.

Hosting Accelerator in my opinion offers way more features than any other and they are also one of the few control panel makers who actually use thier control panel in a real hosting evironment that I know of.

Ensim PRO is very stable and reliable but still lacking in features as compared to thier linux version. You can rent Ensim Pro for Linux or Windows 250 user Licenses for around $25.00 per month with a $50.00 Deposit refunded whenever you cancel. Email me for details.

I know about a freely available control panel. I never used it but i am mentioning it just for your info. If any body has used it then I would like to listen his comments.

Features:

- Add, Remove, Manage Users and Groups (with support for AD)
- Manage User's Quotas. Uses Win2k's built in Quota manager

Hi.
Thanks for the word of mouth, BlueThunder.

I wrote the NTHelp.org control panel and run www.nthelp.org The control panel is pure ASP, hence, it is fully customizable to your situation. I wrote it for my own use on shared-hosting servers here where I work, I still use it daily and if I find problems I make updates. I do offer support in the form of a forum found at www.nthelp.org and I'm usually good about replying to emails within 24 hours (except on weekends).

I've recently been joined by another developer who will be helping me take this control panel to whole new level and will have more then twice the functionality. I don't expect to see this version till at least late fall/early winter.

I've also been trying to post other Administrative scripts that help on a day to day basis. You can also check out Randy Hinder's site at www.adsi4nt.com, my control panel is loosely based on his.
