You can find similar plans with a U.S. company.
We have a custom control panel that comes standard with any of our accounts..and they are equipped with alot of features already.

Hello

Basically all the web hosting companies are priced the same. You pay for what you get. You should be looking at reliability and there support.

Ive found excellent service at http://www.accessprovider.com.

there are a lot of plans out there.it's a matter of doing the comparisons.don't pay for anything you don't need.email them to see how quickly they respond,is it an individual response or another autoresponder.a lot of companies in the states have attractive rates too.
cheers

Peter,

You make an excellent point. One of the biggest issues we find amongst customers, and people in forums, is a lack of support from the current hosting providers. Price is one thing, and you should always be on the lookout for a good deal. However if the time comes and you need advice or something goes wrong, all the great deals in the world won't help.

Firing off a few emails to a company should be one of the first things you do, as well as look at their website. Do they provide online support? Look for tutorials and FAQ pages, and even services like Human Click and Live Helper. A combination of these services adds up to a wealth of information above the usual contact addresses.

Do they provide a control panel for your site? If so, can you test it out before you sign up? A control panel gives someone a lot of power to control their own site, and any good host should have one these days for control over file managing, email addresses, website statistics - it goes on and on...

I've heard horror stories of people waiting three months to have support issues resolved. That's disturbing at best... There are a lot of companies today that are looking at their profit margin before their customers. You have to find a host that cares for their business by caring for yours first.
