Hello Guys,

This is my first post and i have an important question. Here it goes.

I co-own a dedicated server from Alabanza, we are planning to find a cheaper server provider with same or better specifications. Initially, we looked at serverbeach, rackshack, and was impressed with their servers as well as the CPanel.

My question is, given these facts, what would be the ultimate consideration to enable seamless migration from Alabanza to a new server. We currently have 100 domain clients and want it to be transparent to them.

Appreciate if you can guide us.

Thanks ...

Well I think it really doesn't matter which provider you use but whether you transfer the accounts correctly. I believe cPanel allows transfers from Alabanza:

here is information from cPanel:

For this to work, you must be running ala-cp on the remote server, the access user must have su access to root, and the server must accept ssh connections from IP address!

If this works then you can transfer multiple accounts to the new server provided you put cPanel on the new server. You would just need to figure out the DNS. Leave both the new server and the old server running (overlapping) and the sites shouldn't have any downtime.
