Hi, i purchased a domain a while back.

and i made name servers for it and pointed it to them.

after the 48 hours passed, i went to look at the default page, but i couldn't

I tried to access my name server. and it worked. i could get to the ip so i could log into my control pannel.

i just can't get to the domain itself.

I asked a friend in the USA if he could see the domain. and he said he could. Which is really fustrating me as i can't i then asked someone in the same country as me and they could not see it either.

please could you perhapse give me some guidence as to why this is happening?

sorry for the delay i just learned this forum from the search engines, you may want to post the domain name you're referring to for me to help you

or you might want to check the domain here:
http://www.dnsreport.com

it's a tool i use and it's free.

Don't feel frustrated, it sounds like your local isp needs to update their dns records, there has been alot of things like that going around lately, I think it may have something to do with the virus's slowing down the processes in general.

I have found a way around it, be it not a perfect way to do it, but you'll at least be able to see your site via. the url from your page, it's using a proxy server, what this does is use another isp's system to surf the web, they keep their records more updated quite well, so I don't think you'll have any problems using them. Here is a url for a free one: http://proxify.com just follow the instructions on the page and you'll see what I mean. Also, it's a great tool to use in case your local isp tries to pin it onto your end or your hosts end :)
