Ive been listening to peoples comments on this forum and also on the forum at freewebspace.net.

The main criticisms of my original ideas were bandwidth, webspace and lack of any user control of his or her webspace (no control panel etc)

Heres an alternative plan I have researched, I could do this for roughly the same price as the previous one..

Domain name - yourname.com
Subdomains - example.yourname.com
Unlimited POP3 Mailboxes
Unlimited Autoresponders
Unlimited Email Addresses
Unlimited Mailing Lists
500Mb of UNIX webspace
Web Based Control Panel
Free Online Support Centre with FAQs, beginners guides, advanced feature instructions, tips and techniques, online support chat, online user chat and telephone support numbers
Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions
CGI Scripting in Perl & C
Server Side Includes
PHP4 Scripting

Access to:
mySQL Database Server
128 Bit SSL Secure Server
Server Side PGP Encryption
WAP Server
Real-time Web Site Statistics

Also, for advanced users:
Password Protected Directories
Customised Error Pages
Search Engine Submission
SPAM Filtering
Email Virus Protection

Monitored bandwidth - our servers will be initially allocated 50Gb, but this is upgradable if the need should arise!
---------------------------------
$49.95 per YEAR

Now how does that sound? Please do give me some feedback :-)

What do you mean with monitored bandwidth? how much bandwidth that plan go to get?
for $50 yearly I suggest you don't offer more than 3 GB/mo.

That works out to only $4.16/month.

You really think you can meet expenses, much less turn a profit, on $4.16 a month?!

That's not much money..... How do you intend to survive?

Dont the features sound prety standard for a company that is really serious about webhosting?? Also the monitored bandwidth sounds suspicious. We provide unlimited bandwidth and have never had to remove anyone from the server for high bandwidth usage. Instead of removing them we simply move the entire account to a less crowded server. Is this what you are referring to or do you mean you will be charging extra for bandwidth or remving domains for high bandwidth usage?

Plan sounds good though. Good luck:cool:
