Hey All,

Alright, so I'm just about to launch my company quake audio but I still need to have my programmer set-up the CC Services. I'm not exactly sure where to start with finding the right credit card service for me. I was wondering if anyone could help me out... I live in Canada but all my customers are in the U.S. I looked through all the cheapest and easiest 3rd Party CC Processors and Paysystems.com seems to be the best. I'm looking for someone that has used or currently uses paysystems. Below is a few things that I must have in a CC Processor. Does paysystems have this?

- I need a service then either sends the money directly into my bank account or does it at least once a week. No longer and a week is even a bit long.
- I need a service that doesn't bill the customer right away after they fill in there CC info. I want it to be "pending" until I say the order can go through. That way if a customer buys a product that I don't have in stock, I don't have to refund there money and I can just cancel the order if they don't want to wait.
- To prevent fraud and charge-backs I plan on making sure that the Shipping and Billing address both match the address on the credit card. I need some way to program that feature into my cart once I have it set-up. I think most CC services have this feature.
- I have a few policies that make it so I can charge a 20% restocking fee if a product comes back to us damaged or with missing parts. I need some way I can manually make charges to to my customer?s credit card (with there approval).

I think that's about it. I just need lots of flexibility. Please post if you can help at all. The sooner the better.

Thanks,

--> Evan Denis

I'll see what I can do to get these right. :) We've used Paysystem since early 2000, but for service based products (hosting, design etc). While it's pretty much the same for solid items there's a few things that I might not have looked into.

- Paysystems settles once a week (I believe the minumum total balance needs to be $50 or so though they could clarify this). At the end of the week (Sunday) the funds are held for 5 days, and then sent on Thursday, minus transaction and holdback fees. Funds are sent directly to your bank account via transfer. Nice ans simple.

- You can set your products to bill later effectively making it's a 'pending' transaction. bear in mine that once the transaction occurs (usually within an hour or so of being fraud checked), you incur the service cost ($1). A better solution may be to make sure products that are out of stock are placed as such on your website?

- We don't have shipping addresses being a service provider, but I would imagine a quick note on site that they must match will work? Setting the cart to only take a billing address and no shipping address would certainly help that.

- Paysystems is a third party billing solution so you don't really have any real access to creditcard numbers. It makes everything a lot more secure for customers (one of the reasons we've used them so long), but if you need to manually add or remove amounts, then it might not be quite what you're looking for.

Hope that helps?

OK thanks very much for the information. Anyone else? I sell very expensive products and I'm not sure if waiting more than a week (in some cases) would be very good for my buisness. My customers probably wouldn't want to wait that long for it to be approved. Anyway, thanks for the info.

I think I have decided to go with paysystems.com. They seem like my best bet right now. However, what do they have out of those 4 things I need?

- I need a service then either sends the money directly into my bank account or does it at least once a week. No longer and a week is even a bit long.
- I need a service that doesn't bill the customer right away after they fill in there CC info. I want it to be "pending" until I say the order can go through. Does anyone have any experience with paysystems? If so, please let me know. Thanks.

I would go with paysystems if only there was some way to pre-authorize all the orders that go through. Meaning when an order is taken, it does not actually get charged to there card until I say it can go through. I'm not sure if they have this or not? I can't get a straight awnser from anybody?
