I generally like Dotster, and use them as my primary registrar (and have moved a couple of domains over to them from other registrars) but has anyone else noticed they are very slow at updating their whois database? I recently changed my email contact addy in my Dotster account so that it would apply to all of my domains there, yet over a week later, a whois check (even on Dotster's own website) still shows the old email address.

That's really slow for an update. I thought that they used an automated system.

Hummm....I thought I had read that Dotster had been slow recently or something.
I register domains myself through bulkregsiter for business, but Ive also obtained a few here and there at other places....and I purposely left them at those places so I could test out changes, etc. and both seem to work good
000domains.com and jumpdomain.com
Have you by chance tried to contact their support to see what may be going on?
Keep us posted ;)

If the changes don't show up within the week, I'll contact support.
I noticed this delay thing with Dotster once before, but it didn't bother me, but this time, I've canceled my ISP account as of the end of this month. If Dotster doesn't make the change in time I may have to keep my current ISP an extra month just to be sure.
BTW, as far as BulkRegister, I have a couple of domains under them, one of which I want very much to keep, but I'd have to make the contact info change through a hosting company I no longer use. I tried to go through BR myself but no luck. Hrm.
This is why I want to consolodate everything under one account at one registrar. And hindsight is always 20/20, etc. ;)
