I have noticed that many hosting companies often purchase text links from high powered sites. Is this a successful strategy for the new hosting company trying to make its mark? For those that have tried it, has the cost/benefit worked in your favor?

With the 1,000s of hosting companies out there I guess there needs to be some creative marketing to get to the top of the rankings.

With todays hosting market it is best to find a small niche that you can compete in as a new webhost. Then it MIGHT have a positive ROI to buy links on websites that fall inside the niche you are marking to.

As long as it is a clean site with a strong rank.

If you have a website and want to get more traffic and hits.
Try this free service. It give you 1 visitor when you open
your browser two times. All you have to do is set your home
page to their address. This is like a traffic exchange program
except you don't need to give any traffic to start, just yourself.
There is also a Pro package which enables you to buy traffic.
But the free service works just fine for me.
