what are some good colocation places out there? I need it pretty cheap, like $50/month per 1U or even cheaper is better. I need at least 100gb bandwidth too. West coast.

thanks for the help

is http://www.netmar.com/ any good? they seem very cheap but something about it seems... wrong. I don't know, they're really cheap. $10/per 1U seems iffy.

Both Fastcolocation.com and Rack4less.com have good prices and Datacenter is HE. But Rack4less has recently changed their pricing and now purchase HW for you also.... which is a very good pricing model and I'm tempted myself to use the same selling model.

However, with both you are at the hands/mercy of the HE staff if something needs to be done to your machine.

So, I would suggest simpli.biz instead because they have a Cage and own staff to take care of your needs. Or you could go with a larger Colo op (at higher price) e.g. Coloquest.com or Colo4dallas.com

Of course, you could always consider us for your needs if you wanted XO Colocation, but then this is not the Advertising Forum, so I won't plug my own services here. (Of course, I noticed, it didn't make a difference to the above posters  )

wow... like thanks you guys, but all that's quite a bit more expensive then I thought.

so far the abselute best I've come across is cihost. Cheap, fast, and uh, they don't charge by the 1mbps which is quite annoying.

thanks anyways!

$10/ U seems about right if its just for space and bandwidth is extra. Otherwises it seems too good to be true.

I've had very bad experience with cihost. I wouldn't recommend them at all!
