I am looking for hosting companys that offer email hosting only as a separate service, but with my oen domain, not those email company services as bigmailbox.com, neither as any other that offer free email but carrying the name of such company in my email address. I don't want the web hosting service. Only the email hosting service.
I will appreciate any help.

Hi
Who did you register your domain with or have you not done so yet. If you get your domain via a site such as http://www.ukreg.com you get free email forwarding and domain forwarding. I think network solutions also do a simular service.

Why not go with a $5/mo or less host and just not use the web hosting?

Do you feel there is sufficiant demand in the market for a category of email hosts within our hostsPeople.com site?
We've recently been discussing the inclusion of new product categories and would welcome any suggestions you might have.

I have a gut feeling that there is but I don't have any evidence to support it so come on guys, if you want it then say so!

from my experience there doesn't seem to be a lot of demand just for email hosting.we have had virtually nil requests for that.maybe most people needing this service have gone with a cheap or free hosting service.

I thought email hosting was an expanding industry?

Thanks for the feedback. Can you suggest any categories we're not catering for right now?

I think so. Having an email is a necessity; having a web site is a commodity. Whose address is more professional you@hotmail.com or you@your_company.com ?
Probably for those in USA or in another country with a huge offer of hosting services it is not a necessity, but for other countries there migth be, as long as it has a very low price.
Thank for all of your answers
