3. Well, it depends on which FTP server you use.... if you use ProFTPd, i've got a config file that will only let users view what's in their home directory, and nothing below it.

5. Quotas would need to be enabled to limit space, and they are best managed by a control panel, such as webmin, http://www.webmin.com/webmin/

yeah actually i am using webmin at the moment, but couldn't actually see to how to get the quota utility setup for each account. I might have a tutorial today from the server guys, will see if they can help out on that part :)..

Well i am using cuteftp.... regarding what ftp server they use i will ask them today

I was also going to recommend Webmin. However if you can afford it i would pay for the cpanel license. I'd recommend getting the license and skin from www.site5.com the one they have developed is awesome skin and the features they have intergrated into there version are out of this world.

Webhost manager is something they throw into the bundle as well i think and that would allow you to manage quotas.

I second the recommendation for CPanel, but it could be expensive.

Web Host Manager does come with CPanel, as it's the server and account administration system.

Yeah :) i did use cpanel at hostvelocity, nice stuff. And it had great features within it, but i guess it depends what you want to offer isn't it.

I will see how much that costs, but would that again require formatting of the server or is it just an additional app that could be installed remotely .. as i still have ensim panel untouched :( cuz the server guys seem to NOT help out with other technical issues that arise after they install it.
