Microsoft DNS

HI, I am trying to close all unnecessary ports on a Windows 2000 Server running IIS and Microsoft DNS. I allow TCP and UDP ports 53, but when I try and use DNSCMD.EXE is failed, if I open all the TCP ports it works again, does anyone know what additional ports MS DNS or DNSCMD may be using?
