    Taking web photos...

What?s the best way to take photos in the web? I have been taking them with flood lamps and a digital camera. Then I put the images on my desktop and edit them with Photoshop.

Is there a way to hook up a camera to my computer and view the image on my monitor before snapping the photo? Or, for my purpose, would I be better off with a video camera?

i dont know why yu need to take photos,
you can capture screenshots of whatever that appears on the monitor using the "print screen" button.
and you can edit it as you want with photoshop or whatever...

    Hi Microprintz,

There are several systems which allow you to view the image on a computer screen before you take the shot. However the price is prohibitive if you are not a professional photographer.

Flood lamps are fine for lightng but you have to watch out for the color tempurature of yoru bulbs which can look orange sometimes. If your looking for natural lighting try to find the bluest bulbs you can get.

However, photos for the web do not have to be perfect because you will loose alot in your compression anyways.

    Good luck,

What camera do you have? There is so many things that you have to be careful when it comes to photography if you want pro results.

If you need just picture for web, then any point-and-shoot camera should be plenty and yes...

The way you do it is ok. I think at this point it so more about your PS skills. You do not need super high picture quality for web.

i do not understand why you take a photos for website too....if you need a image of web site, you can press the print screen bottun on your keyboard or try some professional screen capture programs such as ACA capture PRO or snagIT,, as everybody know, snagit is pretty good but i prefer ACA capture ,because aca capture can capture the full-screen images of a certain website including the invisible part whih is not shown in the screen...............

The easiest + best way to do with, without a program:

Press Print Screen SysRq on your keyboard, then go into MS Paint, and right click the blank space and click 'paste'.

Numerious webcams are now available in the market, you can have the pictures from them quickly and get them printed as well. So this is the fastest way. On the other hand, print screen button on your keyboard can help you as well.
