Host from which country is the best ?

i have a query ?

Today internet is so popular and borderless, people do business worldwide and hosting company comes from many countries. As we know US company are expanding and open up data centre Indian, China, Malaysia and Singapore to capture the new growing market. Frankly speaking cost in these countries is much lower and hosting company is making good income if they offer the same rate as US counterpart. They still make good money if the offer the same price as US counterpart.

Let see the opinion from members, which country is your preferred choice and why?

The best thing is to host in a country where visitors are coming from. However if you have a international site I'd recommend to have it on a US server. Also one should keep in mind that Search Engines give value to geographical location for local searches, as a example if your site is in a UK server and if you move it to a US server you could experience a drop in UK SE (search Engine) visitors.

Internet is like a spider web, your connection are routed to many different portals. Nearby the company does not mean you have best speed or bandwidth either. It all depends on what connection that the datacenter use and what internet provider are you using. You can host from US even if you are in Asia and still get good page loads.

Since I am in US, I have to vote US hosting as my preference.

Well my vote is for US servers too :-))
We have several clients out of US that seem to be satisfied with the connectivity.
The actual webhosts that have their sales offices out of the US *usually* lease their servers here in the US anyway.

The quality service provider is always considered the best, they may be from any country. Though considering experiences, US still in the best.

I would choose a hosting company in the country or area that your visitors are coming from. The reason is that the search engine will geotarget based on your sites IP address (location). So if you are targeting french visitors, then it will be very hard to get good ranks on the search engines in France unless the server is located in France.

Obviously if you aren't concerned with SE traffic, then you can choose a server anywhere.

I still prefer US. Web hosting is one area where cheap labour hasnt been translated to cheap rates. may be because it is more related to infrastructure. From whatever I see, there isnt MUCh differnce cost wise and US companies are more professionals than the ones from developing countries.

Personally, i prefer to host my sites with US or UK hosting providers.
Anyway, the option is yours and the key here is find reputative hosting provider is a must in order to avoid any inconvenience caused.
