I understand some of you may not know much about legal issues of web hosting, some of you may, and i also understand this is not professional counseling - just a question for all of you experianced users...
If i no longer wish to host an account, and they have violated the terms of service, is it okay to delete their account? Thanks for your help

if someone violates my TOS or Service Agreement, then they will be given the opportunity to fix the proble, if they persist, then there site is disabled and then terminated.
if a customer is doing something illegal, immediate termination with the appropriate authorities being contacted.

Hello
Before you are going to cooperate with someone you likely should them explain all that it is possible for them to do and that it is impossible, after that if clients will break the contract you have the right to remove them. But before you remove someone you should inform them and if not lawful action with their party to proceed that you have the right to remove them.
On mine I am right, and I hope that you will agree with me

Heres our System:
e.g. a Costumer hosts a WareZ Site on our Servers
1) He will be contacted and asked to remove the illegal content
2) If we do not recieve a reply within 3 days, his site is being suspended.
3) If he cooperates with us, we unsuspend his website. If we do not recieve a reply within 30 days , his account is terminated.
A while ago someone hosted a Child Porn Website on our server. We contacted our local Police Department and they successfully tracked them down with the IP Address which was logged by Cpanel

Depending on how serious the AUP violiation is, we will usually either ask the user to take down any offending content, or block the website and ask them to contact us to have the site re-activated. We try to avoid just deleting sites.

To me its not always wise to delete sites so fast. Most of the time, the dispute is something that can be resolved.
You can block or suspend the site anyway and get them to correct their offense in due time. If there is really a serious offense, then you can delete but probably save their backup for some time for in case you are at fault in slapping an offense, you can always get their sites back in no time.
Hope this helps.

Most control panels such as WHM have an option to suspend a web site and I always use this to start with while I talk to the client about the problem. I wouldn't recommend terminating a site immediately. Problems can usually be sorted out without it being necessary to wipe the site.
