XHTML is pretty rigorous about whether or not its input is valid. It may misbehave if you give it invalid input. To check for this, use an XHTML validator; there's a free one available through the W3C's.

There are many ways to start hosting company. You can get started with cheap reseller plan say from hostgator.com who also provides free billing software. And then why you grow big can move to buy your own dedicated server. Resellerclub.com is also a fantactic option where everything is integrated and you can start your hosting co. within minutes.

As some one rightly said, start small, grow big! All da best!

I got myself a reseller platform from 1 and 1. got some of my friends to use me and then developed it from there.

2- billing and support software
3- merchant account or use payment gateway
and ofcourse you need a site with active domain

If you decide on doing this you have to be prepared for long hours of work and to possibly make a loss for the first few months of business.

Your Options:

Get a reseller Package
Get a VPS and use that
Go for broke and get a dedicated ( I do not recommend this)

Then create a website with your packages and an ordering system like WHMCS.

There are a lot of "hosting" resellers out there that are all selling the same generic stuff such as disk space and bandwidth. Don't get trapped into that business model as 99% of all hosting providers (resellers) are in that boat. You need to be different to really compete. You must provide a niche product or service bundled with the hosting to provide a unique solution. Period. I would also recommend joining the local business chambers in your area and get a feel for what people in your area are lacking. Remember to NOT ask people if they need hosting. NO ONE NEEDS HOSTING. They need solutions to their existing problems such as getting their own product or service out to market. I could go on and on with this topic but I think you get the point.
