I dont think Its possible to get a domain name for Free except for a co.cc domain and other such exceptions.

CO.CC domain names are considered as third level domain names and I suppose that is not good idea so far for the good web site to have such domain name.

I don't think its possible to get a free domain unless you win some sort of contest. Companies do offer free domains, but you usually have to sign up for their services so it's not 100% free.

Domain names are so cheap these days anyway! If you are already investing your time and money in business, I would better buy it from a established registrars and save myself from lots of hassle that may arise later.
