What is better managed or unmanaged dedis?

It seems to me that it's better to use dedi from the company which provide both managed and unmanaged dedicated servers - like glowhost.com.
You may use unmanaged dedi from the very beginning and than change it for a managed dedi if you need that.
Prices are modest from them.

I am really thankful for pointing me to glowhost.com. I came across their web site and recognized that it offers a wide range of dedicated server plans to choose from and the price is really reasonable for them.
I have already got a dedicated server solution, telling their support my specific needs, their highly trained experts were really friendly and found the best fit for me.

I agree with the majority of the people here. Go with a managed VPS. Dont get one that is unmanaged and then buy a management plan, two many points of failure. Though I have no experience with either JaguarPC or KnownHost I know that JPC has been in the industry for quite some time, so even though they have "better bang for the buck" they are not an overnight/kiddie host.
