    I depens for what the server is.
    For a webserver I prefer Linux.

    Windows is a very popular platform as it is a Microsoft product and in a way easy to use too.

    I would say linux is better than windows because there is high security, cost is less and many softwares support and are free. You don't need to renew it every time like in windows.

    In my opinion, Linux is a better option when it comes to web hosting as it is an open source application that supports a lot of technologies. It also provides a lot of reliability and flexibility. This increases the efficiency of the web hosting activities.

    Linux,

    Free and good.
    Only problem is allot of shared servers are linux, and normally hosting companies put as many users as they can on one server.
    This makes the system much slower.

    According to me, Linux is best option than window. there is no virus problem in linux, more relaiable more secure than window.
