New Web Hosting Company

I'm very intrigued about this new hosting service that I jumped on. I would like some feedback from other webmasters to see if this is as good as I think it is. visit at http://ehosting.ehostingbiz.com/WebCenter and check out the hosting plan and the business op and please feel free to reply, I'm very curious about this.

Which part are you refering to? The make money bit? or the web hosting. I don't know about the web hosting but the making money bit is a bit lame. They are basically getting you to sign up people for there hosting and getting paid $5 a month from them and then paying you. Its really just an affiliate program nothing too special.

It appears that all they are doing is using you as an advertiser and they pay you a Commission for ever person you sign up. Me personally I would not do it. I think its a hoax. I would go sign up for a normal hosting account somewhere and use http://www.cj.com/ which does the same thing free of charge

The description is awfully confusing but what it sounds like is an Account Executive program. They do the hosting, billing and support while you do the marketing and collect a monthly residual commission for each sale and for each sale of the people below you.

If they pay out that seems like a good plan for someone not wanting to be a regular reseller.

Actually there's nothing wrong with affiliate programs. They give people a chance to make a few extra bucks by helping a company get their name out to more people in a responsible way. In fact we're looking at one ourselves right now to be introduced once we're sure it's rock solid.

They get a bad name because of the 'marketing' type cowboys who use words like BizOp and promise you, you'll be a millionaire overnight. Affiliate work isn't a free lunch, but it's not impossible either. As long as you put a little work into it, it can be quite profitable.

Think of being an affiliate (for anything) as outsourcing the service. It can make sense in many cases where the persona doesn't want to spend the time and effort to setup the full organization themselves.

Affiliation also allows a company to reach further into niche areas then they can on their own. It allows us to reach down to a neighbourhood level we can't possibly reach on our own. A simple example is of an affiliate mentioning our company to friends and family, or small local weblistings and search engines based on a very small local area. If an affiliate places our banner on such a site they get a flow through of traffic they can benefit from, while we get our name spread within a local community.

With that practice in mind it works.

Looking at the way this referral program is offered, it makes it look real bad. The amount they say you can make per month... Really....

This is set up like the scams of the internet. I wouldn't trust them.

The $10.00 referral fee, good.
The 5% and 10% each time the customer continues, good.
The way the plan is presented TERRIBLE. Looks like a scam with big money promised, and using the words of scam sites. Poor presentation of what could be an excelent referral program.

Reword it and make it real. If your going to say they can make 2500 to 3000 a month.. tell them how many years it will take to get there at 25 and 50 cents per account. Be honest in your presentation and you won't make them mad at you later.

Good luck with your program, but reword it to be non misleading.

It's suprises me those tactics still work these days (if indeed they do). Making $3000 a week by doing next to nothing is such an obvious con it's saddening to think people still think it'll work for them *just* like the page says.

As I said in my previous post, you can make money from affiliate programs. You're more likely to be able to pay the groceries with it, rather than buy a Porche though.
