Q: How can i play flac files on itunes?
I own tons of flac files and i want to play them on itunes is there a way i can do this and if thers not what is the best flac player out there.

It's a question from Yahoo.answer. It's also a universal phenomenon among iTunes users. One the hand that FLAC format is popular for providing marvelous audio quality and much smaller file size is well received among audiophiles. However, on the other hand, Flac format is not a compatible audio format with iTunes and with all Apple devices. In order to play FLAC to iTunes Mac, play FLAC on iTunes 10.4.1/iTunes10.6 Mac, a recommended solution is to transfer FLAC to Apple friendly audio formats so that you can play FLAC with iTunes, iPad, the new iPad 3, iPhone and iPod, etc.

Flac to iTunes Mac is easy like the following simple steps demonstration.

    Step 1:Import FLAC file.
Click "Add File" to import prepared FLAC file.

Step 2:Set iTunes supported audio format.
a.Click the drop-down button on the right side of "Profile" to select desired output audio format for iPod.
b.To play lossless FLAC on your iPod, select ALAC - Apple Lossless Audio Codec(*.m4a) from the "General Audio" category.
c.To play lossy FLAC on your iPod, select MP3 - MPEG Layer - 3 Audio(*.mp3) from the "General Audio" category.

Step 3 : Convert FLAC to iTunes Mac friendly audio format.

In order to import FLAC to iTunes, we will need to convert FLAC to Apple friendly audio formats.
