There’s More .ME To Go Around At Second Public Auction

The .ME Registry announced today five highly coveted .ME domains will go up for LIVE auction at DOMAINfest Global ‘09 in Hollywood, CA. DOMAINfest Global ‘09 is set to take place Jan. 27-30, 2009 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel.

The five .ME domains available are: Contact.Me, Read.Me, Feed.Me, Alert.Me, Save.Me .

These .ME domains will be available in the LIVE auction, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Jan. 29 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST (4:30-8:00p.m. EST). The .ME auctions are handled by Moniker, which managed the highly successful auction of 11 .ME names in September 2008. Those names sold for a total of $218,000. Date.Me alone went for $70,000.

“After our initial experience, we are anticipating a significant amount of interest in this list of dot-ME names as well,” said Predrag Lesic, the registry's executive director. “We are thrilled with the buzz dot-ME is generating amongst bidders at auction.”

RSVP as an on-site live bidder
If you are attending DOMAINfest in person, you are also qualified to attend the Live Domain Auction at no additional charge. To sign up for a for a bid paddle, simply RSVP now using this easy online form and your materials will be waiting for you at the auction door.

Bid online using the powerful SnapNames Live bidding platform
If you cannot attend the event in person, you can still participate in all the bidding action live using the SnapNames Live auction bidding platform. You will need to download special software and open a SnapNames account to use this interface. It’s strongly suggested you do so at least a few days before the auction.

Bid via telephone using a proxy bidder in the auction room
Even if you can't be on site or near your computer, you can still get access to bid on important domains for your portfolio via telephone bidding. Using this method, a designated proxy bidder will be assigned to the domain lots you're interested in. You determine live on the phone if and at what level you will bid. Note: Telephone proxy bidding MUST be requested at least 24 hours in advance.

Leave an Absentee Bid with the Auctioneer
With an absentee bid, you provide the auctioneer with a list of the lots you're interested in and your maximum price for each. The auctioneer then bids on your behalf, using commonly accepted increments, up to your maximum bid.
