Does Web Hosting effect SEO Rankings

Hi,

I have many .co.uk web sites hosted on UK server, now I am planning to shift all those sites to Web hosting company in India. Will this affect my Search Engine Ranking in Google.co.uk. My sites are doing very good in Google.co.uk.

Is there anything like co.uk sites hosted UK server ranks well than those sites hosted on India Server.

No .. there is nor relaton between hosting and ranking except the browsing speed

You have asked a good question.

Well if your host provider is actively involved in spamming then google or any other search engine will not rank you.
Also if you have dedicated hosting and your i.p was earlier used by some blacklisted site then google will not like you at all.
Its always best to have good known host provider that has good sites hosted.

I think there is no relationship between SEO and hosting. SEO is totally depends upon quality of your site.

I believe it would affect the rankings in your case. If you are optimizing a site to a local version of Google; it's, in my opinion, is better to register the same country TLD, Host the site with a company whose servers are based in the same country and get some quality backlinks from the same TLD sites.

So, If you move them to a India based server, you might lose some rankings in Google.co.uk.

First of all I would like to know the reason for you to get your website away from a UK based server, if they are doing well in Google.co.uk.
Secondly, what geo location are you targetting? If most of your customers are from UK then I would suggest you not to move to any other server other than that in UK. According to the latest changes in the Google algorithm Geo-location would be an important factor that would be considered, so be 100% sure about moving your website to a different location.

i think uk or india servers dont effect your SEO but your server uptime or other factors can damage site SEO . so better choose a good server

don't worry, there is no relationship between hosting and SEO ranking of your site. As long as your domain name stays as it is and the number of linking pointing to your sites stay the same, you will still rank on the co.uk
